Masterclasses allow the audience to experience firsthand how chamber music is refined and brought to a whole new level. A visiting artist, ensemble, or faculty member will work with student groups, offering insights on interpretation and style. Renowned for passionate musicality and impressive technique, members of the Shanghai Quartet  will work with students from our Chamber Music Intensive, offering insights on interpretation and style. Renowned for passionate musicality and impressive technique, the Shanghai Quartet has become one of the world’s foremost chamber ensembles. They have performed throughout Europe, Asia, North and South America and have an extensive discography of more than 30 recordings. The ensemble celebrated its 34th Anniversary in 2017.
