Masterclasses allow the audience to experience firsthand how chamber music is refined and brought to a whole new level. Members of the Enso String Quartet will work with students from our Chamber Music Intensive, offering insights on interpretation and style. The Quartet has been described by Strad magazine as “thrilling,” and praised by the Washington Post for its “glorious sonorities.” The quartet has won numerous awards and has performed in many of the United States’ most prestigious venues, including the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center. The New York-based quartet has made a number of critically acclaimed recordings for the Naxos label and has held residency positions at Rice University in Houston, Texas, with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra in Minnesota, and at Northern Illinois University.
